OUR PROGRAMS
Little Tackers (6-10 years)
We run a fun-filled introduction to the fundamentals of the game, kicking, marking and hand-balling. For these youngsters the emphasis is always on enjoyment.
We teach and practice the attacking aspects of football with this age group. The fundamentals are then included in games and challenges that focus on the value of teamwork.
This is just the start for these girls and boys on their journey into future stars!
Junior Stars (11-14 years)
These footballers usually have some experience in the game so we aim to sharpen skills and include some more complexity into their football journey.
We incorporate some tactical coaching and discussion into these sessions along with shifting the focus towards the defensive aspects of the game. Fitness and a healthy mental approach to football are essential to this age group.
Individual Kicking Analysis
At Play on Footy we believe kicking is one of the most important parts of the game. As a part of our program, we offer each player an individual in depth analysis on their kicking which includes coaching on how to improve different aspects of your kicking technique.

Coaching the Coaches
These seminars are offered for the local coaches and managers in the evening following the junior clinics for the players. They provide an opportunity to listen, learn and engage in active discussion regarding modern approaches to coaching. Our head coaches, Mick and Mat are both highly experienced and enthusiastic coaches currently coaching in the VFL/AFL system. We proudly come from country clubs and have seen the changing landscape in football and coaching over the past two decades of our involvement in the game across all levels from local juniors to the elite.
This is open to all coaches and anyone involved in football. We provide an insight into all aspects of coaching from game day tactics to training approaches and management of players. Questions are always welcome and can be submitted upon registration or simply on the night of the seminar. We love engaging with people who are as enthusiastic about local footy as we are.
